“The worst host ever”
“I had an extremely disappointing experience with an Agoda host. Despite paying for my room several days in advance and receiving a reservation confirmation, the host informed me that the room was unavailable only after I notified them I was en route to the property.
While Agoda claims the host did their best by offering an alternative room, this replacement not only differed from my original booking but also came with an additional charge. This practice is effectively a bait-and-switch tactic. The host’s unprofessional handling of the situation left us without sufficient time to secure alternative accommodation.
I strongly believe Agoda needs to implement more rigorous host verification and training processes to ensure proper customer service standards. Rather than rushing to process payments and send booking confirmations, Agoda should focus on maintaining quality control over their listed properties and hosts.”
