0. Overall Impression
– Overall, we had a pleasant stay with no major inconveniences or complaints.

1. Room
– The room was clean and had plenty of storage space. The area was spacious enough to fully open two large suitcases and one small suitcase with extra room to spare.
– Housekeeping was explained at check-in as being done every two or three days (which we had read in reviews beforehand). However, some days our room was cleaned two days in a row.
– Some Google reviews mentioned unpleasant odors in the room, but in our case, it was the complete opposite—every time we returned, we thought, “Wow, it smells nice.”
– As for soundproofing, we could hear some noises from outside or neighboring rooms, but not to a disturbing level (nothing like “the walls are paper-thin”).

2. Bathroom
– The shower had a fixed overhead showerhead without a handheld option. As far as we know, all rooms of this type have the same setup. We were aware of this in advance, so it wasn’t an issue.
– Water tended to spill out onto the bathroom floor from the shower. Despite being cautious, the floor often became quite wet, which seems to be a design flaw. This might vary between rooms.

3. Amenities
– Indoor slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are available upon request.
– The hotel provides two complimentary bottles of water upon check-in, but additional bottles cost around $8. Even the staff mentioned it was expensive and recommended buying from ABC Stores or refilling at the water dispenser in the lobby.
– Towels can be requested daily if needed.
– Ice is available, but ice machines are not on every floor. You need to ask the staff where to find them. It would have been more convenient if the hotel provided information about ice machine locations in the in-room guidebook or displayed it in the hallways and elevators to avoid having to go down to the lobby to ask. The same applies to the location of the laundry room.

4. Beach Towels
– Beach towels are available at the lobby bell desk—just ask for as many as you need.
– Returns are self-service, meaning you just drop them off in a collection bin without any verification.
– Sometimes the lobby runs out of beach towels, or laundry delays occur. In that case, you can get them from the 5th-floor pool area. They may ask for your room number when borrowing, but returning is just as simple—drop them in any collection bin, whether at the pool or lobby.
– Since beach towels may run out later in the day, it’s best to grab them in the morning if you plan to go to the beach.

5. Room View
– Room categories include Partial Ocean View, Ocean View, Front Ocean View, and Diamond Head Ocean View.
– Partial Ocean View and Ocean View rooms allow you to see the Waikiki Beach and ocean between buildings when stepping onto the balcony and turning your head. Ocean View rooms provide a slightly wider view of the ocean compared to Partial Ocean View.
– Our room was a Partial Ocean View on a high floor (18th), which gave us a nice view from the mountain ridges on the right to Waikiki on the left. The ocean view between buildings was still beautiful. (Since we didn’t spend much time in the room, the view wasn’t a big concern for us.)
– If the view is important to you, Front Ocean View or Diamond Head Ocean View would be better choices. Front Ocean View directly faces the ocean, while Diamond Head Ocean View offers a wide view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach from a high floor.
– After booking, the hotel offered an upgrade to Ocean View ($20+tax per night) or Diamond Head Ocean View ($50+tax per night). We considered the latter, but the hotel was fully booked when we arrived, so we didn’t upgrade.
